ICLE Skills & Methods

CONTINUING EDUCATION COMPONENT
Second and Third Years

After you complete the First Year “core courses”, you advance to the continuing education component, which consists of two courses each year for two years. To complete the Second Year requirement, you must take Administrative Law, and either Civil or Criminal Trial Preparation, whichever was not selected as a core course in the First Year. To complete the Third Year requirement, you can choose any two courses from the list of programs noted on the chart below. The courses offered as part of the continuing education component are presented live twice each year in North, Central and South Jersey locations, and are also presented as video replays at various other times during the year.

You will receive periodic mailings reminding you of your requirements. However, it is your responsibility to ensure that you complete your 2nd and 3rd year requirements in a timely manner. Please do not wait until you are facing a completion deadline to sign up for classes. Tuition for each live continuing education course is $25 in advance or $75 at the door. There are no practice exercises for these courses and materials are included within the library of 17 practice handbooks you receive prior to taking the core courses.
