On October 8, 2009, the Supreme Court published its administrative determinations regarding New Jersey’s proposed new MCLE rule and the proposed elimination of the Skills and Methods Course requirements. At the present time, these are simply “proposed” rule changes. The existing N.J.Ct.R. 1:26 regarding the Skills and Methods Course has neither been deleted or relaxed, and accordingly, the Skills and Methods Course requirements remain in full effect. Until such time as R.1:26 is officially changed or deleted, NJICLE will continue to administer the Skills and Methods Course on behalf of the Supreme Court, and all corresponding classes will be held as scheduled. If on January 1, 2010, the Supreme Court implements the proposed new MCLE court rule changes, we will respond promptly by helping those who have already registered for Skills and Methods course classes upgrade their registrations to NJICLE seminars of their choice free of charge. NJICLE appreciates your continued confidence in our ability to serve your CLE needs during this transition period, and thereafter. |
