QuickComp 2010™ WORKERS' COMPENSATION CALCULATOR

Use on Palm, Pocket PC and Desktop! "We are currently working on making QuickComp compatible with the Blackberry and iPhone platforms and hope to release the new program soon."
Developed by Gary E. Adams, Esq. and Edward J. Magram, Esq. - Distributed by ICLE

"We all use QuickComp at my office… It really
does complex mathematical calculations
accurately, and it saves enormous time."
"
John H. Geaney, Esq., Capehart & Scatchard
Author: Geaney's New Jersey Workers' Compensation Manual

QuickComp 2010™ is a software program developed by two highly experienced New Jersey Workers' Compensation practitioners. The program automatically performs virtually all the calculations required under New Jersey Workers' Compensation Law, and is a valuable asset for both attorneys and adjusters.

NEW FOR 2010...
• Reflects the statutory changes made to NJSA 34:15-40 increasing the cost recovery from $200.00 to $750.00. Also changes Social Security Offset calculations in accordance with the new directive to use "52.14" as the number of weeks in a year.
• Complete instructions now built-in and accessible from within the program!
• Improved SSD calculator
• A Perm Total Disability Calculator! Now complete even the most difficult Perm Total calculations with ease.

Easily calculate all the necessary information to complete your Order Approving Settlement for Perm Total Awards. You provide Respondent's share of Perm Total award and the Date of Totality and the program will compute the rest! If a Social Security Offset applies, QuickComp 2010 will tell the user how long to proviide benefits at the full rate to pay fees and costs, how long to pay the offset rate and when to resume full payment when the Petitioner turns 62. QuickComp 2010 will even handle Auxiliary Benefits as well!

QUICKLY & ACCURATELY CALCULATES…
• Permanent Partial Disability Awards
- Quickly calculates the value of any award
- Stacks multiple body parts
- Automatically computes credits; i.e., Voluntary offers and Abdullah credits
- Inserts petitioner's weekly wage to determine if a cap applies
• Date Calculations
- Quickly and easily computes days between dates
- You insert a rate and the program quickly computes a total for the period at issue
• Third Party Lien Calculations
- Automatically calculates exactly what is due to the Respondent (or the Petitioner), regardless of whether the benefits have been fully paid, partially paid, or not paid at all
• Social Security Offsets
• Attorney Fees
• Occupational Hearing Loss

CHOOSE THE PLATFORM YOU NEED!
Formerly only available for the desktop computer, QuickComp can now be used on handheld platforms as well. Versions of Quick Comp 2010 will operate on the Palm or PocketPC for complete mobility, allowing you to take this software everywhere you need it!

PLEASE NOTE: There is a dispute as to the interpretation of N.J.S.A. 34:15-12c as it applies to awards between 90 and 96 weeks. The charts produced by NJM and QuickComp have always made the calculations using 20% SAWW for the first 90 weeks and 21% SAWW for the remaining weeks. The Division of Worker’s Compensation is currently of the opinion that awards between 90 and 96 weeks are to be paid at 21%SAWW for all weeks. NJM has altered their charts to reflect this change. For consistency purposes, QuickComp has changed the way it calculates these awards to match the Division and NJM’s calculations. QuickComp is not offering an opinion as to which method is correct as we believe this is a legal issue that can only be resolved by an appropriate Court rendering a decision on the proper interpretation of the statute.
